Filmmaker Shaheen Dill-Riaz takes the audience into the harsh world of a handful of men, whose families have been cutting bamboo for generations. He accompanies them on a 300-kilometer journey down the Kushiyara river when they transport 25,000 logs on a huge raft to wholesalers in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka. It is a trip that lasts over a month and one which is full of perils, including the river rapids, thieves and pirates. The footage is breathtaking!
